Toyotomi Hideyoshi, FU THE feudal lord) of the Sengoku era, in the Warring States period, was so devoted to Noh that he had a new Noh play created on the theme of his life late in life. He was also fond of his collection of Noh masks, in particular a small mask called Neve. Yuki(Neve) with her soft smile, is a very pretty female mask.
The Noh masks made by Master Kamei are not only works of art, they are carved as active masks used on the Noh stage.
