Shipments and returns
Direct Shipping from Japan
Products in stock and immediately available are generally shipped to our hub in Japan within 48 hours of receipt of payment: if the order has been paid for by credit/debit card or PayPal, the shipment is prepared as soon as the order is received. Items received at the Japanese hub are then prepared in accordance with export guidelines for delivery to the final carrier within a further 48 hours.
Products that require the further intervention of artisans, or that are present in the catalog in the form of a production order, will be shipped when their creator finishes the work by making the work available to our logistics in Japan. In these cases information on the necessary timing is generally stated in the product description.
Shipping costs vary depending on the recipient's domicile and the prices are clearly specified in the cart before placing the order.
Goods purchased on WabiTakumi always travel protected by insurance coverage and adequately packaged. In some cases, given the delicacy of the works, the construction of wooden boxes or ad hoc packaging may be envisaged to preserve the integrity of the works.
The preferred carrier is EMS - Export Box, a consortium that brings together the major postal services in the world and is known for speed and efficiency. Shipments sent via EMS often enjoy preferential routes through customs, thus resulting in even quicker delivery. In many cases the package will be in your hands within 2-5 days of delivery to the courier by our warehouses.
We remind you that WabiTakumi is in no way responsible for the imposition of duties and the surcharge of taxes possibly applied by the competent customs, these being the responsibility of the buyer.
Shipping from the European Economic Area
If the product is already present in our European warehouses, the shipment may be entrusted to DHL/UPS/TNT/GLS express couriers. In these cases, goods sent to Italy or the European Union will not be subject to customs and nothing will be due for taxes and/or duties.
