Material characteristics
Striped Rosewood
A relative of true rosewood, it is a fine timber among exotic woods. Its grain is dense and fine, displaying black stripes within a brownish-red hue. Like true rosewood, it is hard and emits a faint fragrance, but unlike true rosewood, it is characterised by its resistance to colour deterioration. It is used for Buddhist altars, floor pillars, and exotic wood carvings.

Agate
Agate has been highly prized since ancient times and is counted among the Seven Treasures in Buddhism. It comes in a rich variety of colours and lends itself well to crafting, being used worldwide for artworks and sculptures.
