We have focused on rosaries made with the traditional Japanese colour ‘indigo’. We use wooden beads dyed using the traditional ‘shōai-zome’ method, which does not involve the use of chemicals. These are original Kobe Juzu rosaries, made with particular attention to the indigo colour.
It is a men's bracelet to be worn as an amulet to ward off misfortune and make your wishes come true.
The wild cherry wood beads have been dyed using the ‘shōai-zome’ technique by the AWAJI Ai LAND project, responsible for technical consulting for indigo dyeing in the television series ‘Seiten o Tsuke’. This is a bracelet made with wild cherry wood beads dyed a deep blue. The decision not to treat the surface means that the colour and lustre become more intense with use, making the bracelet an object to which one becomes attached. It is a simple but striking bracelet that conveys a sense of harmony.
The cord is made of four layers of durable and elastic silicone. It is an original product handmade by expert rosary craftsmen in Kyoto.

Wild Cherry Indigo Dye
Cherry trees, a symbol of Japan, colour the spring. These unique rosary beads were made by Kobe Juzu by dyeing them with natural indigo extracted from wild cherry trees that have survived the long winter. The colour of these beads is called “kachiiro” and can only be obtained by fermenting natural indigo dye using Japanese tadeai. As “kachi” is also synonymous with “victory”, this colour has been used as a good luck charm for armour and celebrations.
The more you use it, the more it becomes shiny and the more you can appreciate the original texture of indigo.
