Cloisonne cloisonne braid is a series of circle motifs, but this plate focuses on the floral patterns that form between the circles.

The cloisonne pattern is an auspicious pattern, as the circles are linked in a perpetual chain of circles, and the pattern is associated with the wishes for happiness, harmony and karma.

It is said to have been named after the connection between people, which is equivalent in value to ‘cloisonne*’.

The skilful work of the carpentry craftsmen makes Kumiko's patterns and assemblages infinitely fine and delicate.
